Janez Mlakar (Yan Myr)

Janez Mlakar was born in 1976 in Ljubljana (Slovenia, EU). His favorite role is being a father to his son. He is a valuable friend. He is a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, Master of Neurolinguistic Programming and a Reiki teacher.

Janez is a lecturer, behavioral coach, writer, and mentor to all those who want to improve themselves. At work, he shows himself with emotional intelligence, assertiveness, and the ability to motivate and communicate easily, finding the way to every person, regardless of education and age. It's not hard to trust him.

A key advantage of Janez is the invaluable personal experiences of his childhood, where he lived among alcoholism and domestic violence. Like a lost creature, he wandered and searched for years. He thus built his first business experience in tourism and continued his various work online. He then began serious work on himself.

In 2016, he started working as a mentor at ล ent, an association for people with mental health problems, where through his approaches and training he ensured a remarkable revival of the society's clients, as his methods enable individuals to obtain the desired self-image; performing the activities that such self-image requires and the consequent drastic reduction of medication by psychiatrists.

Since 2018, he has been working at Topmoods as a professional manager and editor, but otherwise, he is a writer and mentor to life-changing people. Janez's greatest achievement is that he is so overflowing with energy that he always and for everyone knows what is the right thing to do. We all know that when we do things right, right things will happen.

Nicknamed Yan Myr,  he wrote the First Important Book for kids and "big kids" (published in the Slovene language), through which he fulfills his writing mission. A book is an invaluable tool for every person, regardless of age, gender, education, health problems, and disabilities. The illustrations for the First Important Book were contributed by the outstanding academic painter Barbara Kralj. In the book, Janez sets the framework for the minimal awareness that one needs to begin to change one's self-image, attitudes, and life expectations. It should be emphasized that most readers today believe that Janez is extremely knowledgeable about his work, since all the theory is simple, clear and published in only 30 pages, and the rest of the book are illustrations and pictures intended to support understanding of the content.

Janez is a man who does not give much to achievements and titles but understands the world through his heart and critical mind. He believes that only those who knew how to help themselves can help others. He is a person worth getting to know and hear because the more determined and a friendly person is hard to meet. You will certainly have a hard time meeting anyone who understands you better.
